Status: Non-exempt Reports to: Division Director
POSITION SUMMARY: Perform “whole house” energy conservation inspections and estimates
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Conduct pre and post “Whole house Energy Inspections” using field equipment
Complete Energy Equipment Audit Data Collection Report) EA-Quip and follows recommended energy procedures
Document collected work scope according to field observations and recommended energy data to clients file
Responsible for estimating costs of the required materials and labor needed to perform energy measures and maintains allowable expenditure cost
Responsible for establishing the participant file and gather all required documents as per State Regulated guidelines
Responsible for conducting and following up on field inspections
Responsible for conducting heating system evaluations and preparing report
In charge of generating programmatic status reports, project plans and punch-list
Responsible for conducting final inspections according to contractor’s proposal and submitting completed unit reports
Educate participants on the importance of energy conservation in residential homes
Responsible for creating job folders and filing all documents as necessary
Home visitations required
Responsible for preparing estimates and ensuring that estimates and revisions are complete and accurate
Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken
In charge of entering data into a computer generated spreadsheet
Applicant is expected to participate in special divisional projects when needed
Responsible for outreach with the goal of increasing awareness of La Casa programs and services in the community and increasing participant numbers
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) with 2 years of relevant work experience and/or training.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS*:
Must have a valid New Jersey Driver’s License – Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required
Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
Exceptional communication skills; written and verbal
Must be detailed oriented
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
Required to lift up to frequently lift and/or move up to 15-30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
Must be able to observe safety and security procedures and use equipment and materials properly
Must be able to operate commercial tools and equipment which include but are not limited to: blower door, gas detector, combustion analyzer, draft indicator, hand drill, ladder, hand tools, digital camera and other equipment as needed.
Employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to find, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions
Must be able to travel for in-town and out-of-town conferences and trainings
Company uniform must be worn at all times

PAY: $17.58 per hour
JOB STATUS: Permanent Full-time Existing Position

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) – Schedule is subject to change – Applicant must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include some weekends and evenings – Overtime will be required during peak periods.
